This March, Hyundai Hope on Wheels is celebrating 20 years of raising money for pediatric cancer research. The program began in 1988, in Boston MA, and supports children’s hospitals throughout the US with research grants designed to improve care and work towards cures for children fighting cancer.

HHOW’s commitment to increasing awareness and improving the quality of life for pediatric cancer survivors has raised over $145 million dollars in supporting the fight for a cure. Their annual campaign theme for 2018 is, “20 years of saving lives and creating hope, in the fight to end childhood cancer”. The launch event took place March 29th, and featured Soledad O’Brien, and musical performances by several Broadway stars, and the Broadway Youth Ensemble, and was held in conjunction with the preview night of the New York International Auto Show. read more

For the first time ever, Hyundai will feature its non-profit organization, Hyundai Hope On Wheels, during a 60 second spot in Super Bowl LII. The 60-second spot that will air in the fourth quarter and will include content captured on game day. Hyundai will also run a new spot in the pre-game show featuring its first-ever subcompact SUV, Kona.

“Last year we honored military heroes who help make events like the Super Bowl possible. This year we’ll celebrate heroes who help in finding a cure for pediatric cancer,” said Dean Evans, CMO, Hyundai Motor America. “This is another example of Hyundai’s brand promise and our strategy to communicate what we stand for beyond great products. Bay Ridge Hyundai Dedicates 1 Year Anniversary Celebration to Slain NYPD Police Officer

OCTOBER 26, 2017 (Brooklyn, NY) – Bay Ridge Hyundai hosted their 1 year anniversary celebration on Thursday, October 26th.  The Brooklyn-based Hyundai dealership dedicated the evening to remembering slain NYPD police officer, Miosotis Familia and her family.

On July 5th, Officer Familia was on duty in a mobile command anti-crime unit protecting a Bronx neighborhood when she was assassinated by a lone gunman. In addition to being a loved officer in the NYPD 46th Precinct, Miosotis Familia was a mother of 3, a college graduate and worked as a Red Cross medical assistant. The loss devastated the community, and many have voiced their appreciation for Officer Familia and her family. read more

BAY RIDGE, Brooklyn — When “Sopranos” star Tony Sirico read about the service of NYPD Detective Joseph Lemm, the staff sergeant killed by a suicide bomber on a tour in Afghanistan last year, he knew he had to do something to honor him.

“This was a real deal guy, he had a heart of gold. Everyone loved him including me,” Sirico said.

He teamed up with the NYPD Detectives Endowment Association and Bay Ridge Hyundai — which held it’s grand opening Saturday — to donate a brand new car to Detective Lemm’s 17-year-old stepdaughter Brooke. read more
